Entrepreneurship
This course is an introduction to entrepreneurship and will focus on identifying opportunities and putting useful ideas into practice. The process will include deciding to become an entrepreneur, developing successful business ideas, moving from an idea to an entrepreneurial firm, and managing and growing to entrepreneurial firm.

Credit Units/Hours
Upon successful completion of this course, you will earn 3 semester hours of college credit. This course represents the equivalent of learning outcomes normally achieved through 45 hours of student classroom study or through distance learning instruction.
Course Learning Objectives
Based upon APA standards and completion of the course, students should be able to:
- Explain the nature of entrepreneurship as a method of business ownership
- Explore the characteristics of an entrepreneur
- Examine the advantages and disadvantages of entrepreneurship as a career choice
- Evaluate the skills necessary to operate and grow a business
- Evaluate the methods of entering an entrepreneurial venture
- Identify global aspects of an entrepreneurial business
- Determine the role of an entrepreneurship in the student’s future
- Analyze strategic marketing and management for the entrepreneur
